Neil Young is well known for his work as a folk-rock singer/songwriter and performer, but he has never been thought of as a conventional artist. The album ‘Trans’ was released in early 1983 and utilized a mechanical, high tech sound that confused many listeners. On this tour he utilized large video screens to show interviews with crew members and just about anyone who was backstage. Not what his fans expected. Fortunately for them the set list included few surprises and much of his earlier classic material.
