"Gary Brooker of Procul Harum 1967. 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' was the song in the long hot 'Summer of Love'. The band came from nowhere to No. 1 in a few weeks and some said that studio musicians were used, who cared? It was and still is a classic. They played at Brian Epstien's Saville Theatre one sunny Sunday afternoon and I took this picture on stage during rehersals. 33 years later I'm back in England in Woking Lesure Center along with 900 others for a tea-total New Years Eve party with Eric Clapton and friends and there's Garry, a bit older and grayer, singing and playing a 'Whiter Shade Of Pale', absolutely amazing!"
