This photograph was taken of Chet Baker at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal. He was scheduled to perform a duet with pianist, Paul Bley. The small concert hall in the basement of the Bibliotheque Nationale was full of anticipation. But as circumstances would have it, Chet only lasted a few minutes. He just could not perform that night. So, Paul Bley escorted him off the stage, and that was the end of Chet's performance.
